PRAISE for AN ILLUMINATED LIFE! *

I've been a huge fan of the author and I can honestly say her writing only gets better. Her latest novel plunders the emotional turmoil of loves lost and renewed, set in the tranquil and idyllic Italian countryside infused with wine, olive oil, and truffles. Corey Stewart certainly delivers!

This book grabbed me on page one. The characters wrestle with big decisions and issues but the book is extremely readable. I learned a lot about Italy while I was reading, too, which I loved! Her descriptions are so vivid I felt like I was in Italy with her. I have bought the first book now too and hope there will be a third.

Corey Stewart conosce bene l’Italia e soprattutto l’Umbria. Ci fa vedere i colori, respirare i profumi, sentire i sapori.

I so enjoyed this second book by Corey Stewart! I love her style of writing, her sense of humor, and the way her descriptions of the countryside and food/wine make me want to pick up and move to Italy.

I’m an avid reader and love to find a book that has well developed characters, subtle wit, and actually teaches you something that can enhance your life! This book has it all. Highly recommended!

What’s left when everything that matters to you falls away?

And more importantly…will you be brave enough to find out?

When a senseless accident and a jarring discovery strip Beth Steeler of all the roles that define her — mother, wife, essayist — rebuilding her life will mean facing the past….and learning what forgiveness really means.

More Praise for The Wisdom of the Olive Tree

  • Through a life lived full of loss, Beth stands tall like an Olive Tree, that despite being gnarled and hollowed by pain, grief, and loss, still bears fruit. I really enjoyed this emotional and heart wrenching read.

  • It’s the story of forgiving oneself ...While the book is deeply rooted in religious undertones, it’s not preachy in its approach. It’s a novel that’s relatable for all readers who’ve ever felt the pain of the inexplicable.

  • Most of us have experienced loss in our lives—death or broken relationships... This book will give you that inspiration to hold on just a little bit longer because the tides will change and it will get better.
