There is something so satisfying when the guy who’s avoiding the traffic jam by driving on the shoulder gets pulled over, or your jackass boss finally gets fired. Justice, hooray! We have an innate desire to see people get what we believe they deserve.

But life doesn’t work like that, and it never has.

We see and hear and think about things in the same way we always have, viewing ourselves and the events of our lives through the scratched and cloudy lens we’ve always used. But what if we shattered that lens and tried a new one?
